Wild Water Work Out

The Surprising Benefits of Exercising in the Sea!

When we think about exercise, the usual images that come to mind include gyms, running tracks, or maybe even yoga studios. But what if you could replace these traditional settings with the vast expanse of the ocean? Exercising in the sea offers a unique and invigorating experience that goes beyond the typical workout. Let’s dive into the myriad benefits of taking your fitness routine to the waves.

What is a wild workout?

A Wild Water Workout, is a workout using nature as the venue/location for your workout. By using the wild as your gym, you are in control of when and where you work out or start your own classes.

Advantages of Wild Water Workouts:

There is no need to find the gym or pool space within a venue or pay the fee's that are associated with securing a venue.

In essence, using your outdoors as your sporting venue is cost effective, healthy, and offers new challenges to participants of group exercise.

When utilizing the sea and the waves on a beach as part of your aquatic workout, you introduce natural resistances, both at your feet, on the sand and throughout your body with the waves and water current to work against.

The sensation experienced in a living and breathing sea environment provides something different than a traditional pool workout.

Can anyone participate or instruct a wild water workout?

Outdoor water workouts are not currently for everyone. It is essential that your swimming ability level and confidence in outdoor swimming  is already established and when considering bringing other's to your classes, you must consider their ability level too.

e.g. How you will safely manage the class in a potentially dangerous environment.

For this reason, it is essential that your knowledge and skills are comprehensive.

Do you live on the coastline? Are you close to the beach? Do you live near a beautiful lake? If so you may have the ideal workout environment on your doorstop.

Where could I start my own Wild water workouts?

If you are near a beach or lake with safe access, with a community close by, you could have a viable location.

Swimsanity offer a cost-effective simple online course and equipment package to give you the skills and confidence to start your own classes with very little outlay.
